What are Tree-View item underlines?

#1

It is often difficult to know if some subtle behavior originates in a package or in the application itself.
I have often noticed some files and folders in the tree-view will have red squiggly underlines.
This looks like the spelling error indicator on macOS.
I am at a complete loss to find a package that may be the culprit here or if it is editable behavior.

Any suggestions?

What packages do you have installed? Can you post a screenshot of the squiggly lines?

#3

Working on that. Need to see it in some things that I can post screenshots of…
I’ve been trolling all of my packages and still haven’t figured it out.
Seems like it might be an indicator of directories whose contents under git version control have been modified.

I’ve got this occurring in mine. I’ve attached a screenshot.

At the moment, it’s appearing for some (but not all) tex files, while they are open. It disappears if I close the file (I have all three of these tex files open at the moment and it only occurs for the first two).

It’s from the linter package you have installed. Specifically, linter-ui-default will be the one showing it. Yellow means there are warnings in that file, probably raised by the linter-chktex package.

Nice, thanks. I have it turned off now.
