Once in a blue moon, if I close a file without saving, Atom gives me a warning. Most of the time it just throws away all my work. This is very frustrating. No other editor behaves this way. You should get a warning on close or exit
I’ve never seen this happen. Do you have repro steps?
Open an HTML file. Edit it. click “close all tabs”. click “file exit” or click X in top right corner.
Examine file with some other tool. Your edits will be gone.
So you ignore the “Do you want to save these changes?” dialog and click the X in the top right corner?
