Unable to Replace Commas with Tabs

#1

I’m trying to use the find and replace tool to replace commas with tabs (to convert a CSV to a TSV) but I’m unable to do so in Atom.

When I try to paste the “tab” character in to the replace in current buffer it doesn’t enter anything.

I have found a workaround; it appears that this only affects an empty replace field. If I enter another character in first I can then paste the tab character and remove the dummy character I put in.

It looks like it’s possibly stripping whitespace from the pasted text?

You can use \t to replace text with a tab in find and replace.
