Trying to open a workspace with an URI not working in Windows

I’m having an issue in Windows and I can’t open a workspace specifying an URI and I get the warning:

Unable to open ‘package-name:\name’
EINVAL, open ‘package-name:\name’

I don’t understand why it says it as I am creating it with atom.workspace.open('package-name://' + param)

I tried this code in Mac OS X and it works fine. If I try not using an URI and only a string (just using the value in param it works but I need it to make it work with the URI.

It seems that is something related to the / because removing them and using an URI like package-name:param works but I can’t figure out why is not working with /.
