Syntax highlighting theme: Changing colour of single and double quotation characters

#1

Hi, First post… Please be gentle.

I’m in the process of creating a syntax highlighting theme to match the schemes I use in IDLE and PyCharm. The problem I’m having is that I would like to change the colour of single and double quotation marks (The characters themselves not the containing string) but I can’t seem to find the appropriate selector for these. Does one exist? Is it even possible to set highlighting for individual characters?

Worked it out myself… finally.
For anyone that is interested the selectors are:

.punctuation.definition.string.begin.[language]
.punctuation.definition.string.end.[language]

So just replace the word language with your required language ( without the brackets ).

In my case it is:

.punctuation.definition.string.begin.python
.punctuation.definition.string.end.python
