I work on a very fast machine, which is nice a build time, but it makes it harder to see some of the performance problems that would be very obvious to regular users.
The Chrome devtools has wonderful feature to throttle CPU and I tend to use that as much as possible when developing for the browser. It works fine in Electron too, but I work on a rather large multi-window app and it’s a hassle to have to set it for every window every time the app restarts and I can’t do it immediately on window creation, so there’ll be a time when it’s not throttled and the perceived performance is off.
Is it possible to set some startup parameter to always have throttling enabled? I’ve only been able to find some settings that seems to relate to network and while that is also useful, it’s not what I’m looking for.
