Specify language based on filename or pattern instead of extension

#1

Hello, is there a way to specify that all files named “foobar”, for example, should use language “make”? I know about the customFileTypes configuration setting, but it looks like it only allows you to specify the file extension. However, is it possible to specify the language for files that don’t have an extension, perhaps based on their name or a pattern?

Thanks!

Not currently built-in to Atom, no. Though there is at least one package that I recall that offers this.

Ok. I found the file-types package that allowed me to do it quite easily. Thanks!
