In open source projects thats well commented, you’ll get some comment syntax highlighting like @params, or XXX. It doesn’t carry over to atom completely, and I’d like to see complete list of possible markings with syntax within atom that the official comment package does not have.

@params-style documentation is tokenized by the primary language package.
XXX is tokenized by language-todo. You can view the list here.
quite simply searching for @params/@summary in atom packages doesn’t immediately yield results. While github will highlight these words.
