Solved: Theme publishes as package, plus anonymous access denied

#1

I created my first theme and followed the publish instructions. from there terminal after I enter app publish patch (I’ve also done minor) the following happens:

Preparing and tagging a new version ✓
Pushing v0.2.5 tag Username for 'https://github.com':

It sits there until I press enter, at which point it prompts for Password for 'https://github.com': which I have entered. Regardless I end up seeing

remote: Anonymous access to memoht/brownie-syntax.git denied.
fatal: Authentication failed for 'https://github.com/memoht/brownie-syntax/'
  • I created a Personal Access Token for Atom and it was added to my keychain.

  • The theme is under my Atom account as a Package despite these errors. The syntax of my package.json is correct for a theme. On the Github repo, there are no tags or releases listed.

So what’s going on here? I would like to get this published as a theme and without the terminal errors.

Platform: MacOS High Sierra
Git Client: GitHub Desktop

After spending quite a bit of time trying to implement Personal Access Tokens in both Atom and Github, trying to switch remote URLs from HTTPS to SSH and back again, it would seem 2FA was the issue. I use the desktop Github client and when I tried to use the Atom Git client it failed to authenticate. Disabled 2FA and was able to publish successfully.
