Snippets in Proprietary Language w/ Unique File Extension

#1

Hello. I work at a company that uses a proprietary language. To start with Atom I’d like to set up snippets, but I’m having trouble getting them to work with this language’s proprietary file extension. My new snippets work just fine if I pretend I’m working with JavaScript or Python, which isn’t a solution obviously.

Thoughts appreciated.

You could create a simple language package that essentially just recognizes that language, even if it doesn’t do any syntax highlighting. You can take a look at my language-generic-config package for an example of something like this. Once you’ve created a “scope name” for this proprietary language, then you can create snippets for it.

Thanks I’ll check it out!
