Sidebar won't change to dark theme

#1

Hi,

I’m using Atom (which is superb) but recently I can’t seem to get the sidebar to change dark with dark themes. Any ideas?

#2

That is weird. Could you give the following information?

  • Which version of Atom are you using?
  • What OS and version are you running?
  • Can you reproduce the issue after completely exiting Atom and restarting using atom --safe?

Version: 1.5.3
Mac OSX 10.11.3

Tried opening a project in terminal the atom . --safe <- not sure if that was correct but if it was it still didn’t change anything.

Did you see a green box like this on the left side of the status bar?

What’s weird is that the Status Bar’s, Settings View’s and Tree View’s theme is controlled by the UI theme. So there should never be a mismatch between those three. This leads me to believe that you have a community package installed that replaced the normal Tree View.

The settings tab seems fine:
Settings Tab

#6

Scrap that, it is like how you mentioned at the bottom in the status bar:
Tab Borked

#7

Do you have a screenshot of the Tree View mismatching the Settings View with the green box in the status bar?

#8

You mean like this:

What’s in your styles.less? You can open it by opening the Command Palette and executing the command “Application: Open Your Stylesheet”.

For some reason this nugget was in there:

.tree-view {
  background-color: whitesmoke;
}

Commented out and all good now :slight_smile: Thanks!!!
