Search wildcards for Find/Replace

#1

I have a situation where I have lines similar to the following:

:-------------------------

and

:-----------------

I want to search and remove these markdown table references.

I thought a search such as:

:*

Would highlight all lines that included this pattern (using * as the wildcard). It did not work.

Is there a way to perform this kind of wildcard search?

I only want to find this pattern in a single file.

By clicking there, you can search by pattern matching (regex)

Thanks! I had used the Regex option, but wasn’t using the right search syntax. Will research a bit more on Regex.
