Running Python scripts & editor navigation

When using Qt Creator for C/C++ development, if an error is encountered during compilation, I get a list of them and by double clicking, I can visit the very place in the code. Besides, the culprit lines are marked.

If I run my python app with the Script add-on, I have to find the place myself (based on the log) and no lines are marked. Is it possible to have such functionality in Atom as I have in Qt Creator?

The question is whether the python executable will output the line number of the error. If not, then there’s nothing a package can do to catch it at run time. You can, however, install a linter package to catch syntax issues before you run the script.

Yes, see example traceback:

Then the answer to your question is yes, it is possible. Someone would just have to write a package for it.
