Running individual functions

I’m currently taking my first python course at university and I’ve been using atom before but only for a very small period of time. Right now the course mainly consists of defining different functions and running them. We started out using this text editor called emacs but I’m not a big fan of it so I wanted to go back to atom. The thing with emacs though is that it has a python interpreter in the program which means you can super quickly run your various functions after editing them. Is there a similar thing you can do in atom?

The hydrogen package allows you to run segments of your code individually.
