Resizing performs rather bad, content jumps and flickers

#1

I’ve just started playing with Electron, and I’ve noticed that resizing a window doesn’t perform very good, the content on the right hand side and the bottom jumps and flickers extremely.

While this is a general problem that isn’t limited to Electron, the performance could still be better. NW.js for example has similar problems, but it’s way less apparent, and the movement is much, much smoother, without exaggeration, it’s like 10 FPS vs 60 FPS.

I’m wondering whether there is anything I can do to enhance this, any switches, options, …?

Electron: 0.28.3
OS: Windows 7 x64
CPU: Intel i5-3350P
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750

Flicker on window resize
#2

I’ve only noticed it get bad when I use the webview tag. I’m on OS X.

I notice that chrome (the non-electron chrome) always has terrible resizing when the dev tools are open. I wonder what’s up.

It’s gotta be a chromium issue.
