Program focus when opening file in Ubuntu


Whenever I have Atom already running and open a file via Nautilus, the file is opened in Atom in the background - Atom’s window is not focused. I find this quite annoying but cannot figure out if it’s an issue with Unity or Nautilus or if it’s Atom’s issue. I know that other text editors (e.g. Sublime, gedit) don’t behave this way.

Is there some way to change this behavior?

Yes, it seems like my issue is a duplicate of that one. When I searched for an exisiting issues, I used keywords that didn’t bring that one up.
