Problem opening Atom in ubuntu and also bash

Until a few days ago I can no longer open a file in atom using the command line atom .
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling atom and updating ubuntu but have not reached a solution. If somebody could please help me that would be great…
On ubuntu this is the error I receive:
