Override background-color of element when selected?

#1

I have this for .selection .region:

.selection .region {
        background-color: @syntax-selection-color !important;
        border-radius: @roundness;
 }

but for the todo-language, when I’ve selected/highlighted one of it’s keywords, I want the background color to be different than what it is by default.

.syntax--storage {
    &.syntax--storage {
        &.syntax--todo,
        &.syntax--fixme {
            color: @black;
            background: @green;
            border-radius: @roundness;
        }
    }
}

How can I accomplish something like this? Is it even possible?
