Opening files in Explorer

Quick question. Is there a way to run files outside of Atom, by using Atom? Example: If you embed a link in a plain text file and open it using Atom, the application will allow you to open the link in your primary browser. You don’t need to copy then link manually. I would like to know if there is a way to accomplish the same with, let’s say, file-paths to video files that are stored on my hard drive. Custome grammer already recognizes file-paths and colors them accordingly, but I would also like it to give me the option to either run the file, using my primary videoplayer, or at least open the path in a separate Windows Explorer window.

Couldn’t find any packages that quite did this and, as far as I am aware, it’s not an inherent feature, either.

Thanks in advance.
