Opening Atom in terminal

#1

When I try to open Atom in terminal it crashes. However, it open through GNOME dock.
~/.atom/nohup.out
Ubuntu GNOME 64-bit 14.04

Could you give the following information?

  • Which version of Atom are you using?
  • Can you reproduce the issue after completely exiting Atom and restarting using atom --safe?
  • How did you install Atom?

#3
  • 1.4.3
  • How to completely exit Atom? I just closed all windows of Atom, but same error occur. And rebooting don’t help
  • I’ve downloaded .dep file from https://atom.io/. And ran it through Ubuntu Software Installer.
Now I’m downloading new 1.5.0 version. I hope it would solve my problem.

#4

Updating to 1.5.0 didn’t solve the problem

#5

Did you try launching Atom using the atom --safe command?

#6

Yes, it doesn’t help too

#7

It looks like a permissions problem with the ~/.atom directory. Do you have access (without sudo) to ~/.atom and all its contents?

#8

Thx, it helped, but permissions seemed to be normal
