Open a single file from terminal

#1

I would prefer to open just a single file, when I type atom myfile in terminal

Currently atom myfile opens the entire directory with the file - “myfile” open.

Maybe add a command line option? atom -o myfile

#2

I would like this too, specially for git commit messages, I actually have my EDITOR env variable as subl -w so when I commit changes I can type the message with Sublime Text. Trying this with Atom results on additional project directory opening.

Thats my use case too.
I tried using atom -w as my default git core editor, but the load times were bad, since its a huge project and it has to open the entire directory.
So had to switch back to subl -w
