Offline package installation?

Is it possible to do now? I can’t configure Firewall (Windows using TinyWall) properly - I added Atom to whitelist, but the process trying to get package list just has some random id and no name.

If it is not possible now - s it possible to add such option?

If by offline installation you mean something like

  1. Download a package bundle (including all dependencies) to your machine via a web browser
  2. Execute a single command to install the bundle that won’t touch the network

No, I don’t know of a way to do that. I’m sure it is possible to create something like it. You can always file a feature request on the apm tool.

just install the package on a machine with internet access and copy the package folder to your machine. The package folder should be in ~/.atom/packages

Thanks. Oldschool method (copy) works fine.

Whitelist node.exe from C:\Users[your username]\AppData\Local\atom\app-[your newest atom verison]\resources\app\apm\bin
