Obtaining user input?

#1

In javascript I could use the scanner class, and (in eclipse) after hitting run, the user would type in a value in the pane that shows the output, and then my program carried out the function. Is there any way to obtain user input in atom? I currently hard coded some values as input and they then my output is a message that appears at the top of the page that displays the output numbers/the new values after going through my function.

You might find some inspiration in how Atom’s Find-And-Replace package gets user input.

Hi there,
The code in Find-and-Replace is not trivial and I can’t extract from it what I need: a sync prompt.
