Now that Atom 1.0 is here

Now that Atom 1.0 is here, should I expect fewer updates? Will there be big updates only or are you guys carrying on with an update for every few features/perfomance improvements?

Disclaimer: I am not an employee of GitHub nor a member of the Atom Core team. I’m just an enthusiastic volunteer.

Given the above, this is my opinion only …

I don’t think so.

I believe the release schedule will continue to be very flexible. Sometimes new releases will come out rapidly when there is a glaring bug to fix. Other times it will be a week or more between releases.

Ok  either way is fine, the only thing I have to worry about is my computer crashing out (tis a bit old and hates updates haha) when Atom updates but thanks for your insight :smile_cat:

It’s true that before 1.0 we would have had another minor version by now.
And they did say they would follow semantic versioning from now on, and I have seen a bunch of new PRs being merged in during the last few weeks.

So my guess is another patch or minor release is coming up soon.
