Newbie: install issue

#1

Hi all,

when I try to test quick Start app under ubuntu 12.04 I get this message after the npm start command:

baptiste@baptiste-MSI-NOTEBOOK-CR610:~$ npm start

> electron-quick-start@1.0.0 start /home/baptiste
> electron main.js

electron: error while loading shared libraries: libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
npm ERR! weird error 127
npm WARN This failure might be due to the use of legacy binary "node"
npm WARN For further explanations, please read
/usr/share/doc/nodejs/README.Debian

npm ERR! not ok code 0

I tried to include quite everything to the PATH variable but it doesn’t sole the problem :

baptiste@baptiste-MSI-NOTEBOOK-CR610:~$ $PATH
bash: /usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games:/usr/local/games:/home/baptiste:/home/baptiste/Téléchargements/electron-v0.36.5-linux-ia32:/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu:/sys/bus:/usr/include:/usr/lib

Any ideas??
Thanks,

Baptiste.

Mind setting up a Teamviewer session Baptiste?

Regards.

#5

Sorry but what is Teamviewer and how do I manage setting up such a session? (I didn’t see any refrence to Teamviewer in the docs…)

Baptiste.

#6

Hey man,

Teamviewer is a way that I can view what you’re doing in realtime and possibly help you out.

Teamviewer is 3rd party application, not related to Atom/Electron in any way.

You can download it via Teamviewer’s site (quick google should help) and PM me the ID/Password it gives you.

Cheers
