New to Atom, including libraries

Good evening,

I’m new to coding and to Atom, I’m trying to include a library called <conio.h> but I get an error saying that it is not found. What can I do to install it or add it?

Thanks very much!

This sounds like a question for experienced coders in your language of choice. Atom isn’t aware of language libraries, so what’s important is that the compiler the file is being sent to can find the library. That changes for every language.

This is not really a question related to Atom,
but maybe to push the conversation along and additional to @DamnedScholar’s notes.

Packages added onto Atom links your code to a compiler. The compiler would ensure that libraries are linked in with your code. Which package and compiler are you using?

More specifically…

Where does this error come from?
