Mystery Triangle Arrow in Atom (Just to the left of the line #)

#1

I’m working on a javascript file, and I notice a little red triangle / arrow just to the left of the line #s in my code. What is that and why is it there? (See attached image.) I never noticed it before and I’ve been using Atom for quite some time.

I didn’t notice it until I did a cut / paste operation in the general vicinity. I originally thought maybe it was a “last place for cut or paste operation” but its very inconsistent. Is this some sort of weird undo / redo line marker?

Note: I’m using Atom 1.8.0 on Windows10

Anybody know what that is, why its there, etc…?

Many thanks, LB

That’s an Diff marker in the Git gutter, indicating that you removed code at this position since your last commit
