After using Atom for a few minutes, I’m seeing several “Atom Helper” processes (like 15+), collectively taking up more than Gigabyte of memory — and these processes persist even if I close out all open files in Atom. They will terminate after quitting Atom. This is true even after I delete my ~/.atom file and reinstall Atom. As a result, Atom is virtually unusable to me; after maybe three or four minutes of work, it sucks up all of the available memory and starts to act sluggishly. I’m on OS X 10.9.2 using Atom 0.84.0.
