Mini text editor help needed

#1

@codinghorror @Pym @kumarrishav @russlescai @Slava
My code is

{TextEditorView} = require 'atom'
...
miniTextEditorView = new TextEditorView({mini: true, placeholderText:"test"})
@append miniTextEditorView
...

Then can show:

But if I input some words into it, I can’t see the words!

Who can tell me why or what should I do .

Have you followed the suggestions in the Debugging document? Also, could you give the following information?

  • Which version of Atom are you using?
  • What OS and version are you running?
  • Do you have the Emmet package installed?
  • Can you reproduce the issue after completely exiting Atom and restarting using atom --safe?

Thanks for for leedohm’s answer。

Atom in Safe Mode, among other things, only loads default-installed packages. So if those extra three menu items are from a package that does not come with the default installation, they should not be expected to show up in Safe Mode.

I think I understand what the original issue was. You’re writing a package? And can’t get the mini text editor to work?

I moved the post from this topic to the other because I think you’ll get more help there. I’m going to close this topic as duplicate of that one unless there are any objections …
