Middle buttton paste action

#1

Is there any way to disable the middle button to paste on Linux? I really wanted to use this package: https://github.com/bigfive/atom-sublime-select

but unfortunately it keeps pasting every character across the selected lines when I select multiple columns.

SublimeText does indeed use another keybinding for this same feature: Shift + (drag across lines) Right-Click and I’ve got no problems using it.

#2

I started a pull request for this about a month ago, but I haven’t had time since to finish it. A lot has changed since then, so I’ll need to review it. I’ll have time in a few weeks…

#3

I’ve actually come into this discussion previously, it does work but when working with split view scrollViewNode it will always report that scrollViewNode is undefined causing files to not open at given split view positions (bottom, left, right, up).

I finished the PR a few days ago. It isn’t merged yet, but you can use it already if you’re willing to build atom on your machine:

  • git clone https://github.com/olmokramer/atom -b disable-middle-mouse-paste
  • cd atom
  • script/build && sudo script/grunt install
