Locally linked fuzzaldrin not loading with atom --dev?

#1

I wanted to learn more about Atom, so I thought I’d try making a few improvements to fuzzy-finder and fuzzaldrin. I cloned both repos, ran apm install and apm link -d on each.

Now when I run atom --dev it looks like my local copy of fuzzy-finder is loading fine, but my local copy of fuzzaldrin is not getting loaded (at all, as far as I can tell).

I’m not sure what gives; both appear to be properly symlinked in my ~/.atom/dev/packages/ and I’ve only made extremely minimal changes to both packages — just a simple console.log so I know my own copies are getting executed.

I see no specific error spew in the console. All packages (and atom itself) are up-to-date.

Is there something magic about fuzzaldrin that makes developing it a bit different? Is this PEBKAC?

Any advice/suggestions for a new Atom hacker would be most welcome.

Cheers,
Dave

The method of linking in Node modules is different from linking in Atom packages. See the documentation here:

Ah, that’s certainly it. Thanks – as I’ve never done this before I hadn’t yet realized the distinction.
