Is there any good resources on hosting native GUI components written in c++?

We need to be able to consume a MJPEG stream that is being created and modified on the file from another video stream using C++ code. Currently the C++ code shows the source video and modified video with acceptable speeds and so we were considering using the C++ component within an electron based app to take care of showing the video and doing the modifications to the video stream while allowing us to use electron for all the other GUI elements.

Is this possible?

Is it a good idea?

Are there any resources out there on how to do this kind of thing?

This appears to be a duplicate of a previous topic:

Though there doesn’t seem to be any answers there specifically, perhaps knowing about the getNativeWindowHandle function is the piece of information you need?
