Is there any good local database for an Electron app except electron-store? I tried to use sequelize with mysql and sqlite and postgres but I couldn’t make it work :frowning:

Electron will work with any database that works with Node.js.

Here is an example of how I tried to set up sequelize with mysql2, but it didn’t work.

This, this and this were not printed when I ran my app.

P.S. I used throw new Error() for displaying something from main process because I cannot see console.log() in my console. Maybe you also have some tips for it?

If you want to run mysql, usually you wouldn’t be running that inside electron. You’d be running it on a remote server and having your app connect to it when you’re online.

If you need something locally, I’ve seen people use sqllite local files https://www.sqlite.org/whentouse.html

Good luck!
