Installing packages is painfully SLOW on Windows 8 but not Linux

#1

Does anyone know why that might be? I’ve just done a fresh install of Windows 8 due to a borked HDD. I installed Atom via chocolately and have installed Git and Python.

I just tried installing the package color-picker via apm on my Ubuntu laptop and it installed in < 1 minute. I also tried it via the settings screen on my Windows 8 machine and it took at least 10 minutes. I’ve tried several packages and they are all extremely slow to download/install.

Both versions of Atom are the same (0.139.0) and are on the same network. Any ideas would be great.
