Include .git/config in fuzzy find results by default

Please include .git/config path in fuzzy find results, so that this file is easier to navigate to when frequently tweaking git submodules. Right now, all internal git files are excluded from fuzzy finding, making it slower to edit to this file.

Would it work for you if you delete .git from this list?

Not quite. .git contains a lot of binary files that I would not want to appear in fuzzy find results. It’s primarily the text config file that I am interested in whitelisting.

The description of that setting mentions that it support glob patterns. Have you tried adding !.git/config?

Example:

.git, .hg, .svn, .DS_Store, ._*, Thumbs.db, desktop.ini, !.git/config

Strangely, !.git/config doesn’t seem to work there. When I introduce that setting and relaunch Atom, it continues to omit this file from fuzzyfind results.

Observing what @idleberg suggested coupled with
https://www.npmjs.com/package/glob

Primary suggestion:

 !(.git/config), *.git, .hg, .svn, .DS_Store, ._*, Thumbs.db, desktop.ini

Secondary suggestion:

 *.git, .hg, .svn, .DS_Store, ._*, Thumbs.db, desktop.ini
