If you do not consume one or more characters , and does not HIT the search

#1

If you search the following procedure is not HIT.

  1. [Find] -> [Find in Buffer]
  2. [User RegExp] is on
  3. input “^”
  4. [Find] button click
  5. No results found for ‘^’

If you do not consume one or more characters in a search word, it does not seem to HIT to search .
Other as even search word “$”, “(? = Pattern)” It was confirmed that no HIT to search in .
I order to use well a regular expression that does not consume , have been very troubled .
Does this behavior will a bug ?
