How to use ONE pane only?

#1

Hi, I’m new to Atom and I can’t seem to find a way to only use ONE pane.
In the picture below I want to delete the pane that’s marked with X.
How would I do that?

You can switch focus to that pane with View > Pane > Focus Pane on Right and then do File > Close Pane.

I get an error

Window load time: 2984ms
Uncaught TypeError: undefined is not a function c:\Program Files (x86)\Atom\resources\app\src\workspace-element.js:202

Have you followed the suggestions in the Debugging document? Also, could you give the following information?

  • Which version of Atom are you using?
  • What OS and version are you running?
  • Can you reproduce the issue after completely exiting Atom and restarting using atom --safe?

As far as I can tell, you are already using a single pane, the line you are seeing is the wrap guide. Try turning off soft-wrap and disable the wrap-guide package and the editor content will use the whole editor width.

That was it abe. That solved it. Thanks!
