How to style new scopes?

#1

I’m writing a package to support svn. I am starting with putting the output of svn status into an editor. Then I wrote a grammar that will style that output.

Now my question is, suppose I’ve got a name for the first column of the “svn status” output (it tells me whether the item is Modified or Added and so on). How to I colorize this column? I guess if I tell Atom it’s a function name, then it will be colored like function names. But it’s not a function name, so I guess I have to use a new scope name, and how do I specify a color for a new scope name?

The scope name is used as the CSS class for that span. So you would just put some CSS/LESS in your package’s stylesheet that styles that scope/class.

Thank you, sir. That works.
