How to make curly braces show up on a different line when using snippets?

#1

Basically what’s written in the topic; long story short is that I prefer writing the (opening) curly braces on separate lines from the block of code under which they belong.

i.e.

if (someBoolean)
{
    //do things
}

NOT

if (someBoolean){
    // do things
}

I’ve only just started extensively using atom, and all code snippets seem to place the curly braces the second way rather than the first one. Is there some sort of setting to change how that works?

No, there isn’t a system for changing the formatting of the snippets automatically. You can create your own snippets that work how you want them to:
