How to enter LUA '' promt?

I’m very new to programming, just learning my way through LUA. I’m trying to use and I am testing my code using the ‘script’ community package. The script window successfully prompts for user input but there doesn’t seem to be anywhere to enter a string. I can’t click the console or anything.

Is there something I’m doing wrong or maybe a better way to do what I am trying to do?

No, it’s normal behaviour with script and many other build-packages – they are read-only and don’t allow user input. You need to find a REPL package for that.
