So for Squirrel.Mac to work the app has to be signed. That’s fine,
electron-builder signs my app that I distribute to the end users.
The problem comes when working. When I do
electron .someFolder the Electron app that is being used is not signed, and I get the nasty:
Error: Could not get code signature for running application
So what I do is commenting the autoUpdater code when working on the app, and uncomment before using
electron-builder. This is less than ideal. At some point I will forget to do that and all hell will break loose.
I imagine the solution is to sign the .app that the CLI uses when I do
electron .someFolder. But where is that app located?
Is there any other practical solution to this problem?
