How can an Atom package use x-callback-url?

#1

I want to write a package that hooks into the Bear Notes Mac App to CRUD notes from Atom.

I’ll probably have to use x-callback-url to communicate with the Bear app. I’ll have to hit a URL that looks something like bear://x-callback-url/open-note?title=someNote and then receive the callback. Theres a command line tool called xcall can do that.

How, if at all, can an Atom package make use of x-callback-url?

Sorry, here are the relevant links, couldn’t add them because I’m a new user.
