Front Page modification idea

#1

First of all, a little to surprised the front page doesn’t have a “Fork on Github” link accepting pull requests :smile:

The section Get started with Electron should absolutely mention npm i -g electron in its sample code block. I know you probably think the electron version thing in the title implies that, but it doesn’t imply installing it globally for a required CLI.

Anyways, excited to dive in and get started, just thought I’d point out a hiccup I’d had in my experience!

The website is available on GitHub: https://github.com/atom/electron.atom.io

Are you talking about theses instructions?

$ git clone https://github.com/atom/electron-quick-start
$ cd electron-quick-start
$ npm install && npm start

If so there is no need to install anything globally; npm install installs everything necessary to the project folder itself. The electron executable is available at node_modules/.bin/electron which is what npm start uses.
