Folding blocks shouldn't be deleted on backspace

#1

At the moment, if one make a backspace before a folded code block in Atom, the whole block will be deleted. IMHO this is a very uncommon behaviour. For example, take Visual Studio, if you make the same, the folded block opens and the cursor is placed at the closing brace.

Atom’s behaviour to this made me doing a lot of errors. Sometimes I deleted whole sections and didn’t take notice.

What are you thinking? What are the pros of the current behaviour?

Let me know.
Thanks.

Sounds similar to this issue:

Seems similar. My problem occurs with folded lines above. He describes it with folded lines below the cursor, but might be the same “bug”.

I’m pretty sure it is going to be the same root cause. I would recommend subscribing to that issue.

I will. Thanks for the reference.
