Extracting content from a Photoshop design as the Brackets

#1

Having the possibility that the Bracket is:
in extracting content from a Photoshop design comp from within the code editor.

see the video:

#2

I don’t see it coming anytime soon.
Bracket is an Adobe product, and I doubt they’ll easily share code that can compromise the saleability of one of their product (Edge in that case).

About the video, you have been fooled : THIS IS NOT AN ACTUAL BRACKET FEATURE
See https://github.com/adobe/brackets/issues/4176, and the fact that Adobe Edge already have this feature make it highly improbable to see that feature in a near future in the OS version of Bracket.

However there’s nothing that prevent someone to write a package.

#3

I did not realize that this is not yet implemented in Bracktes.

Well, that would be a feature of buying factor!

I believe with this functionality frontends would be a great reason to buy atom.

Could this be added to the roadmap of the atom?

#4

Could someone built it using https://github.com/meltingice/psd.js ?

#5

Excelent idea, anyone else would like to help building that feature?

#6

At the moment I’m working on that type of plugin, so I think early beta will be announced very soon

So in early it will be only extracting these css properties:

width
height
top - based on psd position
bottom - based on psd position
font-size
font-family
font-weight
color
line-height
background-color
background-image: linear-gradient
text-shadow
box-shadow
opacity
border
border-radius
text-transform

So we have very very very early version of package, here it’s: https://atom.io/packages/psd-extract/
