I’m not sure if this is possible and I’ve just missed it, but I was looking at the Git commit message syntax definition and was thinking that I’d like to tweak at least one of the parameters of that syntax definition for my own use. (Specifically, switching from the 50-characters length of the summary line commonly used to the 72-characters that the Contribution guidelines suggest.)
To my understanding, my only option at this point would be to make a fork of the syntax and then keep it up to date with any changes that the owner makes, etc etc etc. Wouldn’t it be cool if I could just put something like:
'syntax': 'git-commit': 'first-line-length': 72
config.cson and call it good?
