Exiting Electron without saving Local Storage

In my application, if there is a fatal error of some sort I want the program to crash hard and not save any changes to Local Storage, in case some bad data that got in it is causing the error. Before, I just used app.exit() but with 0.34.3 app.exit() now closes gracefully and saves the new state of Local Storage. Is there some way to work around this?

Saving and reverting to a previous state of Local Storage would work but my program is multi-window so syncing the storage state is difficult in this setup.
