Every method has an override warning when running Julia

#1

I’m using Atom to follow the tutorials for Julia, but when I execute every method has the following warning.

WARNING: Method definition quadratic(Any, Any, Any) in module Main at D:\JuliaWorkspaces\Turorials\HelloWorld\functions.jl:10 overwritten at D:\JuliaWorkspaces\Turorials\HelloWorld\functions.jl:10

As you can see it’s complaining the method is overridden at the same line it’s created, the warning doesn’t cause any issues but it does pollute the output. Not sure if this is an issue with the Julia compiler or Atom. Has anyone else seen this before?

It’s not an issue with Atom because Atom has no ability to process Julia. You want to ask over at the Juno forums.
