I’m researching what’s involved in bundling a MongoDB server with an Electron-based desktop app. The idea is that the server would be private to the application, neither requiring the user to have previously installed MongoDB, nor using or interfering with any MongoDB installation that the user has already installed.
Is this possible? Are there general approaches to embedding 3rd-party binaries (e.g. ImageMagick or Graphvis)? Or is there something special about embedding MongoDB?
