Electron with webpack and HMR for angular2: mind almost blown

#1

I am building an electron app with angular2 and I have configured the build process with webpack, both for the main process and the ng2 app itself.

I converted to webpack because I had the grand idea that I could use HMR to really accelerate development. This seems to be working pretty well on the main process where I refresh my objects when the module is updated.

On the ng2 app side however, in order to get HMR working, I had to use webpack-dev-server, which means that the modules are loaded over localhost and as far as I can understand, this means that node integration goes bye-bye.

Is there another way to get HMR working?

Boo. I was missing the electron-renderer target in webpack.
